Oconeeans open their hearts to a veteran in need

For an Oconee war veteran, life of late has not been a bowl of cherries, as explained this morning by Jerry Dyar. Oconee’s director of veteran affairs, Dyar, referred to Tim Moody, a U-S serviceman who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thanks to the Oconee Veterans Council and the owners of Falcon’s Lair and the Windsor Golf Course, and numerous others who contributed, Moody and his three children now have a new home – a house that in perpetuity will always be reserved for a deserving veteran. Besides his service in the far-off wars, Moody and family are considered deserving, especially for the fact that the home they rented in Seneca was made unlivable when, during a storm, a tree fell across the middle of their rental while they slept. Their new home faces Lecroy Road and backs up to the golf course.
