Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Person Wanted in Utica Mill Hill Shooting Investigation

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 18-year-old Nevada Jaziah Normia Jones of Seneca, who turned herself in at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla regarding a Monday evening shooting on Goddard Avenue. Jones faces charges of Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime, and Discharging a Firearm into a Vehicle—joining co-defendants Javon Gaylin O’Neal Leonard and Damajion Sincere Patton, who were arrested Wednesday on identical charges. Investigators state that shots fired from a Hyundai Elantra into a Dodge Dart left a 17-year-old driver hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the head. Jones remains jailed awaiting a bond hearing, while Leonard and Patton are held on $225,000 bonds with electronic monitoring conditions upon release.
