Oconee County pay day ahead for engineering firm

At their meeting next week, Oconee County councilmen will focus their attention on the project to expand the west terminal apron at the airport. A related part of the work is the re-location of part of Mount Nebo Church Road near the Shiloh Road. Votes by the council could add up to a big pay day for the airport’s long-time engineering consultant, the W-K Dickson and Company. For professional services, W-K Dickson in one authorization stands to receive $137 thousand, most of which is to be paid by the federal government. In a second vote, the company stands to reap $222 thousand. Once again the bulk of that payment is courtesy of an FFA grant.
