No change ahead on Davis Creek Road

At this time, South Carolina DOT regards too expensive a project to grade down a hill approach to a major Oconee County traffic intersection. So, for now, it means Davis Creek Road motorists headed from the south for the busy 123 intersection across from the Food Lion shopping center will still encounter limited visibility as they scale a hill on their approach. According to Lance Estep of the South Carolina Appalachian Council of Government, DOT decided after a study that, for now, warning signs in front of the traffic will have to suffice. But things could change, he says, if there’s new development the project will get a re-look.
