New lawsuit alleges negligence by city of Clemson

A lawsuit alleging negligence by the city of Clemson has been filed for an apartment resident who, the pleadings allege, was hit by a city pickup on Cochran Road in 2023 as the truck mounted a hilltop at a speed above the 25 MPH limit.  Filed in the Pickens Common Pleas Court by Greenville attorney Walter McBrayer Wood, the lawsuit for Brandon Williamson alleges a city employee was at the wheel of a city-owned Super Duty F-450 when the side-view mirror struck the plaintiff and the truck ran over the plaintiff’s left leg. The lawsuit seeks a jury trial and compensatory damages.
