New coach looks forward to meeting Walhallans

The newly-named head coach of Walhalla High baseball looks forward to meet-and-greet the public at an event next week at the high school.  That’s when Tim Cummings gets to meet players, parents, and fans of the Razorbacks at 6 o’clock Tuesday night in the school auditorium.  Cummings moves from one traditionally good high school program (Blue Ridge of Greenville County) to another one at Walhalla. When you field a successful team over the years, winning expectations are created, and the Hogs’ new coach is well aware of Walhalla’s reputation for good baseball.  At Blue Ridge, Cummings coached the jayvee and served as assistant to the varsity.  His background includes a small college baseball career, one year as Daniel High School pitching coach, before hooking on with the Blue Ridge program. At Walhalla, Cummings succeeds Jerry Lee.
