New apartments for Seneca?

A zoning change in the works in Seneca could result in the construction of a new apartment complex off 123 just east of the railroad bridge next to Ingle’s. On Monday the planning commission approved the request for RM-16 zoning which, according to staff, would allow for multi-family housing. The four-acre property, owned by State Representative Bill Sandifer, is the former location of the Seneca Mortuary. Planning commission votes require the approval of two readings by the city council.
