Nearly 80% of Oconee students in classrooms

Nearly eight of ten Oconee public school students are back in their classrooms.  The school district is making known today 10-day enrollment numbers for the three high schools.  Of Walhalla’s total enrollment of 1,169, 958 students are taking face-to-face instruction.  Seneca has an enrollment of 1,010.  Of that number, 753 are in classrooms.  West-Oak’s 10-day enrollment is 824.  Of that number, 648 are in face-to-face.  Overall, 78.6% of Oconee students are back in the classrooms; 21.4% are learning thru SDOC@Home.  According to Steve Hanvey, associate superintendent, updated numbers for the elementary and middle school enrollments will be available September 16.
