Museum director celerbates 10 years on the job

As a youngster, Leslie Hagerty had a penchant to talk and to tell and hear stories.  Those attributes have served her well in her role as director of Oconee County’s official history museum.  Hagerty has made 10 years on the job, and last evening she greeted friends and county officials who congratulated her on her achievement.  As only the second director of the history museum, she’s looking forward to another long period of telling stories and preserving the history of a county that formed only three years after the War Between the States.  The Oconee History Museum is located in a large building in downtown Walhalla, bordered by S. Tugaloo and S. Broad streets.
