Meth trafficking arrests this week

Oconee sheriff’s officers arrested four people this week on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine. Three of the arrests grew out of traffic stops. The first arrest was that of Jason Andrew Martin of Walhalla, identified as a passenger who had been dropped off at a local business. The second and third arrests were those of Robert James Freisel Jr., of Tamassee and Amy Lynn Nease of Walhalla. Their traffic stop took place near the Knox Road in the Seneca area. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a search of a home near Seneca Tuesday produced the arrest of Michelle Ann Reid. She’s charged with trafficking in meth and the possession of weapons during the commission of a violent crime. Officers say they searched the Bent Oak Drive home as the result of controlled buys of narcotics involving operatives working at the direction of their office.
