Meth raid in Seneca

The police in Seneca carried out a methamphetamine raid last night on the 700 block of S. Fair Play Street. They arrested a resident on drug charges and a second man on an un-related charge and say others are being sought and further charges are forthcoming. According to an announcement by Chief John Covington, James Phillip Reid, 30, was charged with distribution of meth. Liberty resident Joshua Randall Ferguson, 35, was charged with larceny. The raid and execution of a search warrant at 702 S. Fairplay was carried out by the tactical response team of the Seneca police and Oconee sheriff’s deputies. Air support was provided by the Sheriff’s Department helicopter.
