Man knifed Wednesday in Utica

Oconee deputies early Wednesday found an adult male in Utica, the victim of multiple stab wounds.  According to the sheriff’s Office, the stabbing investigation centered at a Goddard Avenue address.  Two suspects were taken into custody.  Paramedics sent the victim for hospital treatment.  The sheriff’s office described what happened this way:  a verbal confrontation turned physical as one of the suspects, Monquavious Jahmir Williams, produced a large knife/machete.  Twenty-two-year-old Williams was jailed on the charge of attempted murder.  The second suspect, a 16-year-old, is being referred to juvenile court on charges of accessory and assault.
