Major bass tourney next week on Lake Hartwell

Visit Oconee is excited at the prospect next week to host the return of Major League Fishing to Lake Hartwell.  May 31-June 2 are the days for the 40th Phoenix Bass Fishing League All-American Championship and will take place at Oconee’s new Seneca Creek Boat Ramp.  The competition showcases the best weekend anglers and offers the winning boater a top prize of $120 thousand.  The overall winner, along with the highest-finishing boaters, advance to further championship contests.  A field of 49 boaters and 49 Strike King co-anglers compete on days 1 and 2.  They will launch each day at 6:30 am.  Weigh-in each day will be at the boat ramp at 2:30 pm.  Fans are welcome to attend all launch and weigh-in events and may follow the event’s online coverage at MajorLeagueFishing.com.  TV coverage will premiere November 11 on CBS Sports and the Sportsman Channel.  The full TV air schedule can be found at MajorLeagueFishing.com.
