Linda Gail Childress Burrell

Seneca- Linda Gail Childress Burrell, 72, wife of Charles Burrell, passed away April 20^th, 2021, at the Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

 

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late John Frank and Marie Durham Childress. Linda was employed at Seneca Residential as a dietitian specialist and was a cook at Weinacker’s Restaurant. Linda had a great love for painting, cooking and singing, but her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and was of the Christian faith.  

 

Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Burrell; daughters, Charlene Mason and husband Robbie of Ridgeland, South Carolina, Tammy Campbell of Fairplay, Lynn Barnes and husband Ray of Oakway; stepdaughter, Mamie Jane Black; and a brother, Bobby Childress of Easley; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Samantha Deanne Burrell; great-granddaughter, Ivy Rose Souza; and brothers, Frank Childress and Ricky Childress.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 24^th, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm, Saturday, April 24^th, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home prior to the service.   

 

The family is at the home of daughter, Lynn Barnes, 110 Bruce Road, Westminster, SC 29693.
