Lila Smith

Salem, SC — Lila Mae Porter Smith, 82, wife of Conway Smith, of Salem, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Lila Doyle Post Acute.

 

A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Daniel T. and Bertha Lee Moss Porter. She retired from Sangamo and was a member of Stamp Creek Baptist Church.

 

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by her son: Roger Smith (Cindy); daughters: Brenda Heaton (Tony), Sharon Smith, and Julie Bright (Tony); brothers: Edward Porter and Paul Porter; sisters: Rachel Conrad and Elaine White; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her sister: Mary Towe.

 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Heritage Memorial Gardens.

The family is at their respective homes.
