Lauren Hubbard Richardson

Lauren Hubbard Richardson, 62, of Seneca, SC passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in Seneca and has lived throughout the United States with her family, as far as Anchorage, Alaska. Yet she always managed to return home to South Carolina.

 

Lauren served as President and CEO of Death Valley Towing for the past 6 years. Her true passion was serving her community and helping people through difficult times. She served as Executive Director for Our Daily Rest in Seneca for 7 years and continued to serve on the Board of Directors until her passing. She loved giving back to the community through her church, St. Mark UMC, and her work. She loved music, having served in many church choirs throughout her life, and instilled the same love of music into her children. She enjoyed the creativity of sewing, loved her dogs, and enjoyed cooking. Lauren loved her family with all of her heart and was exceedingly proud of her children.

 

Lauren is predeceased by her parents, John Marion Hubbard and Shirley Underwood Hubbard. She is survived by her husband, David Leon (Lee) Richardson; her three children, daughter Sara Richardson Crigger and her husband Jacob Crigger of Nashville, TN, daughter Martha Frances Richardson of Homer, AK, and son John David Richardson, his wife Samantha Rudolph, and their son William John Richardson of Irmo, SC; her step-mother, Margueritte Hubbard; sister, Stephanie Hubbard Bullman and her husband, Ed Bullman; brother, John Hubbard and his wife Leslie Hubbard; and many nieces and nephews.

 

A memorial gathering for Lauren will be held at St. Marks UMC, 616 Quincy Rd, Seneca, SC 29678 on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 2:00 pm with her memorial service to follow. Memorial Contributions in Lauren’s name can be made to Our Daily Rest or to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
