Kenneth Reece Honea

June 23, 1940 – June 19, 2025

Kenneth Reece Honea,84, of Westminster, SC, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, at Seneca Health and Rehab, surrounded by his family. Born June 23, 1940, he was the son of the late Arthur Bill and Eleanor Craig Honea.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Shirley Smith. Kenneth was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a self-employed plumber and electrician. Kenneth was a devoted husband, beloved stepfather, and grandfather.

In addition to his wife Julie Faye Owens Honea, Kenneth is survived by his step son’s; Roger J. and Tony W. Gilliam of Westminster, SC, as well as grandchildren Michael Gilliam, Nick Gilliam, Tiffany Gilliam, Travis Gilliam, Sera and Austin Smith. Kenneth is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In keeping with Kenneth’s wishes, the family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the home of Faye Honea, 312 Fire Tower Road, Seneca, SC 29678. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with inurnment in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
