Johnny “Red” Cummings

Johnny “Red” O’brien Cummings, 58, passed away January 31 at his residence in

Westminster. Born in Greenville, SC on August 3, 1967, to Linda Aiken Cummings Gibson

and the late Earl Cummings.

 

Johnny always enjoyed working on cars and had a passion for Mopar. He was the funniest,

most kind hearted man. He never met a stranger. He was usually accompanied by his loyal

dog, Shadow.

 

Johnny had one son, Jonathan Brewer, of Westminster and two daughters, Samantha

Griffin (Corey) of Westminster and Sarah Wilbanks (Austin) of Mountain Rest, mother of the children, Rhonda Brewer Cummings. He had five grandchildren, Landeon and Kolton Clark, Hayden Davis, Aiden and Addison (Addie) Wilbanks.

 

He leaves behind his mother, Linda Aiken Cummings Gibson, stepmother, Wanda

Cummings. His siblings include: Tammie Hart, Ricky Cummings, Melissa “Missy” Underwood, Eugene Gibson, Michelle Morales, Geneva Pitre, and Gwen Blanton.

 

 He was predeceased in death by his father Earl Cummings, his father Tommy Gibson who raised him, three brothers Keith Gibson, Shane Cummings and Tim Cummings.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 5:00 pm, Saturday, February 7^th,2026 at Return Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends one hour prior.
