Jane Carol Frost
Seneca, SC — Jane Carol Frost, 80, wife of the late Frank G. Anderson, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Winston-Salem, NC, Ms. Frost was the daughter of the late Clayton William Frost and Mildred Campbell Brown. A lifelong learner and traveler, she earned her undergraduate degree from Elon College and later received her master’s from Union Theological Seminary. Ms. Frost’s career and calling were rooted in service, beginning with a yearlong mission trip to Brazil, then returning to the States to run a children’s home in North Carolina. She was a devoted and deeply involved member of Second Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, SC, where she volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and oversaw The Haven shelter, participated in choir, and poured her creativity into Vacation Bible School. Ms. Frost was credited with creating the communion-wafer recipe, still used across the Upstate Presbyterian community today. Ms. Frost found joy in fellowship with Presbyterian Women and through her artistry as a member of the Spartanburg Artist Guild. Her life was marked by faith and a heart for others.
Ms. Frost is survived by her daughter: Katie Moon Wall (Anthony); brother: Gordon Brown (Claudia); and granddaughters: DJ Bishop (Preston) and Alex Wall.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Second Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, SC.
