James Milton “Milt” Morgan

Seneca – James Milton “Milt” Morgan, 84, husband of Edie Cannon Morgan, passed away peacefully at his home, per his request, on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

 

Milt was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and was the son of the late James Lewis Morgan and Bertha Belcher Morgan.  Milt retired from Roadway Express after 30 years of service as a truck driver with over a million miles of safe driving and was a former member of the Oconee Country Club.  Milt was an avid golfer, an avid bowler, and a devoted Washington Football fan, formerly known as the Washington Redskins.

 

Milt is survived by his beloved wife, Edie Morgan, of fifty-nine years; wonderful father to daughters, Leigh Morgan of Anderson and Lynn Crawford (Larry) of Clemson; grandchildren, Chandler Vickery, Aaron Crawford, Blake Crawford, and Corie Crawford; nephews, Randy Long and Terry Long of Greenville; nieces, Kim Long and Karen Long of Greenville; and his little K9 companion, Maggie.

 

In addition to his parents, Milt is preceded in death by his brother, Sherrill Morgan; sister, Jo Long.  Milt is the last surviving member of his immediate family.

 

A private family service will be held at a later date.
