James Edward “Ned” Harrison IV

 Seneca – James Edward “Ned” Harrison IV, 56, husband of Sonya Thomas Harrison, peacefully passed away Tuesday, March 11th, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Born June 15th, 1968, in Augusta Ga, he is the son of James Edward Harrison III and Ellen Tipton Harrison. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. Ned served at the end of the Cold War with Company B of the 103rd Military Intelligence Battalion. Ned was 100% Military Disabled as a result from his service, a sacrifice that he was proud to make on behalf of his Country and when he was ever asked about it, he would say “I would do it all again”. Ned was Cub Scout Leader for Pack 55, Boy Scout Leader of Troop 55 and Cub Scout Leader with Pack 121. Ned was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Lydia Baptist Church in Newry, SC

 

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Ned is survived by his son, James Edward Harrison V; daughters, Kymberly Ann Lynn and Victoria Amelia Harrison; brothers, Tipton Harrison (Joy) of Woodstock Ga. and Benjamin “Ben” Harrison (Day) of Augusta Ga. Ned also leaves behind an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins whom he dearly cherished.

 

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 15th, 2025 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday, March 14th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Sandifer Funeral Home.

 

The family is at their respective homes.
