James “Carl” Mullikin
James “Carl” Mullikin, 83, husband of Ellie Ruth Shirley Mullikin, of 138 Duck Pond Road, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Anderson County, he was the son of the late James Harold Mullikin and Zoa Mae McAlister Mullikin. Mr. Mullikin worked as a Supervisor in the machine shop at Phillips Fibers, and was a member of Westminster Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mr. Mullikin also was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. Mr. Mullikin was a member of the VFW post 120 Seneca and worked as a bouncer and bartender at the VFW.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a sons, Terry Mullikin of Seneca, Scotty Mullikin (Jill) of Fair Play, Shane Mullikin of Seneca, Justin, Chris, and Alex Mullikin of the home; daughter, Kathy Lynn Hornsby (Jimmy) of Seneca; step children, Tammy Regina Campbell of Seneca, Dwight Berry Cook of Westminster and Daniel Chann Cook of Walhalla; brothers, J.T. Mullikin of Gray Court, John Earl Mullikin of McCormick; sisters, Nancy Gardner of Seneca, Fran Styles of Greer, and Betty Coggins of Charlotte, NC; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Cecil Mullikin.
A funeral service will be held 4 pm, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow Heritage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
