Interfering with traffic control signs

The state police say charges have been laid against seven people for interfering with traffic control signs in Anderson County.  Six of the seven are juvenile age.  More than 200 roads signs were removed from Anderson County locations.  The arrest warrant naming a 21-year-old Piedmont man — Hayden Lawrence Frommel — alleges the following:  “This offense occurred with the assistance and planning by Frommel and various other people (juveniles). This affiant (Kevin J. Tyner) determined that Frommel and his co-defendants removed more than 200 signs, with the intention of selling them for profit.  The road signs included crossing signs, a stop sign, various highway signs, as well as others. The removal of these signs did not result in any known injuries….”
