In spite of Florence, it’s a humane society adoption weekend

Overcrowding at Oconee’s Animal Shelter is driving the need to go ahead with this weekend’s partial adoption event—in spite of the uncertainty of what the hurricane’s remnants have in store. By going to Seneca’s Pet Smart from 10 am to 4 pm tomorrow, you can help guarantee a home for an unwanted dog or cat. A variety of dogs and cats—all of which have been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and have had their age-appropriate shots—will be offered at reduced adoption fees. The shelter, at 1925 Sandifer Boulevard, will also be open tomorrow from 10 to 2.
