Ideal Oktoberfest weather forecast

The beer tent has gone up, amusement rides are being set to the ground.  And all looks promising in Walhalla for another Oktoberfest.  Sunny weather and pleasant temperatures are forecast.  And, after a one-year’s absence for COVID, for the city’s official celebration of its German roots, it looks like visitors may count on many of the same attractions, including 10 o’clock Saturday night fireworks, that bring thousands of visitors to Sertoma Field on SC 183/the Pickens Highway.  There are a couple of changes this year:  no appearance by the Little German Band and there will be no luncheon Friday afternoon.  The Oktoberfest Committee’s Stacy Jackson chatted up the three-day event this morning on the Golden Corner’s Morning Show with John Durham.  Admission to Oktoberfest will be $5 for adults; $3 for children 3-10.  With thousands of visitors expected, parking is often limited or full at Sertoma Field. There will be shuttle transportation from the downtown.
