Human Trafficking Investigation in West Union

Homeland Security agents are currently in West Union investigating an alleged human trafficking case at Puerto Nuevo restaurant. While West Union Police are assisting, federal agents are leading the investigation.

Initial reports indicate that at least ten juveniles were discovered this morning sleeping inside the restaurant. It’s alleged that these juveniles, along with several other individuals, were being forced to live and work at the establishment.
