Howard Dean Crittendon

Fair Play – Howard Dean Crittendon, 79, husband of Mary Sue Dickert Crittendon, 493 Durham Road, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at his residence.

 

   Born in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late George and Inez Atkinson Crittendon and retired from True Temple in Anderson where he worked as a supervisor.  Mr. Crittendon was a member of Weldon Road Baptist Church and attended Rock Hill Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the United States Army.

 

   Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Howard Louie Crittendon of Iva; daughters, Dianne Teague (Toney) of Westminster, Dot Smith (Chris) of Seneca and Cindy Moore (Michael) also of Seneca; sisters, Shelby Keller of Hartwell, GA and Delores Hendrix also of Hartwell, GA; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

 

   In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jim Crittendon; and a granddaughter, Destiny Crittendon.

 

   A funeral service will be held 3 pm, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
