Home school student track and field champion

An Oconee County home school student who won three medals during state track and field competition received congratulations last night from the county school board of trustees.  Addison Berry received a certificate and special recognition as part of the trustees’ meeting.  Addison is a state champion in three competitions:  hurdles, long jump, and triple jump.  Dr. Michael Thorsland, superintendent, said what makes the athletic feats especially noteworthy is that, until April, Addison had never competed before in hurdles. But a month later she’s the state champ.
