HATTIE ALBERTSON
Seneca – Hattie “Jo” Rohletter Albertson, 88, wife of the late Ellsworth Miles Albertson, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Lila Doyle Post-Acute.
Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Jo was the daughter of the late Knox and Gussie Mae Phillips Rohletter. Jo formerly worked for J.P. Stevens and was a member of Return Baptist Church. Jo had a great passion for reading, and gardening, and was a known storyteller, but her greatest love was spending time with her family and her love for Jesus.
Jo is survived by her son, Steve Albertson; daughters, Debbie Rholetter and husband Jeff of Fair Play, Wanda Tompkins of Seneca, Lynn Carter and husband Bobby of Central; fifteen grandchildren; and thirty-six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jo is preceded in death by her brothers, Ted Rohletter, Howard Rohletter, Cecil Rohletter, and Bobby Rohletter; and her sisters, Iva Rohletter and Flora Wynne; daughters, Teresa Sullivan, and Sandra Blalock; and a son-in-law, Mitchell Tompkins.
A Funeral Service will be held 12:00 pm, Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 at Sandifer Funeral Home with a private burial. The family will receive friends and family from 10:30 am – 11:30 am, Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
