Harold “Harry” Edward Krueger, Jr.

Harold “Harry” Krueger, Jr. age 87, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 68 years to Joyce M. (Lipke) Krueger. Born March 14, 1935, in Polar, WI, he was the son of the late Harold and Stella Krueger, Sr.

Mr. Krueger enlisted in 1954 in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, on leave he went home to northern Wisconsin and married Joyce. Following his service to his country, they moved to Milwaukee for work and started a family. In 1970, he became the proud business owner of Krueger Bearings where they manufactured Babbitt-lined bearings. During this time, he was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose, where he held many positions, the most prestigious being state President for Wisconsin.

Following his retirement, at age 56 they moved to Salem, SC. They found their wonderful home at Keowee Key on Lake Keowee which has an 18-hole golf course. He loved boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, and bowling, as well as being a Cub Scout Leader, and socializing with many friends. He was an active member of Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church in Seneca, SC.

Harry leaves behind a large family including Sons, Terry (Ann) Krueger, Rick Krueger, and Joedy (Vickie) Krueger; Daughters, Tammy (Leon) Gregory and Kelly Weldon. Grandchildren, Jayson Krueger, Samantha (Stephen) Brown, Stephanie Krueger, Kevin Krueger, Griffin (Vania) Gregory, Katelyn (Joey) Tuck, Sabrina Lanasa, Melissa (Chris) Camacho, Stephan Gregory, Lauren Krueger, Willy Weldon, and Brett Weldon. Great Grandchildren, Jonathon Krueger and Gabriel Brown, Ava and Jagger Krueger, Nicholas and Jake Krueger, Parker and Louisa Camacho, Lucianna and Ivana Gregory.

Harry was preceded in death by his Parents Harold and Stella Krueger Sr.; Sisters Dorothea (Charles) Obert and Marilyn (Gerald) Parsons. In-laws, Virgil (Charlene) Lipke, Victor (Ada) Lipke, Herbert (Arlene) Lipke, Avery (Don) Schmidt, Carol (Ray) Keen, and Shirley (Don) Temby.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM.

At a later date, a memorial celebration will take place in Wisconsin.
