Guilty plea pleads to 10-year prison term

A plea entered today in the General Sessions Court will send a man near Seneca to prison for 10 years. According to Lindsey Simmons, deputy solicitor, Mickey Cox of Walter Morris Drive, Seneca pleaded guilty to 2 counts Trafficking in Methamphetamine 28-100 grams. One case was investigated by Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the other by Seneca Police Department.  Cox, a repeat offender, was sentenced by Judge Cordell Maddox to 15 years suspended to the service of 10 years in prison followed by 5 years probation. He will not be eligible for parole.
