Grappling with small town issues

The West Union mayor, Linda Oliver, will lead a discussion tomorrow night on whether her town’s elections, now held in April, should be moved to November and held as part of General Elections when turnouts are greater. Last week, although none of the winning candidates faced ballot opposition, the West Union turnout was six percent of the number of town residents who could have voted. West Union council tomorrow night will also talk about whether the few numbers of out of town customers for trash pickups is enough to make for the service to be feasible.
