Gary Campbell

Walhalla, SC – Gary Clark Campbell, age 60, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Seneca, South Carolina, Gary was the son of the late Alvin Clark Campbell and Willie Mae Johnson Campbell. He worked in janitorial service and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Ann “Beckey” Payne Campbell; his children, Jamie Campbell, Wesley Campbell (Briana), and Greggory Campbell, all of Walhalla; and his siblings, Roger Watkins (Pam), Steve Watkins (Diane), Linda Henderson (Scott), Ann Bryant (James), and Tammy Campbell. He also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren, Blake, Angel, Tiffany, Brantley, Hensley, Kacelyn, Brynleigh, and Ambrielle: and a former daughter-in-law, Taylor Leboeuf.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Junior Johnson and Robert Lee Watkins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Hope Church, 3210 Blue Ridge Blvd, West Union, SC 29696. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the church.
