Funded: additional Walhalla utility projects
Additional water and sewer work is being announced by the city of Walhalla, made possible by part of $10 million in projects funded by the state’s “RIA” – the Rural Infrastructure Authority. The new projects fund sewer line and manhole rehab around the Cane Creek basin along with water upgrades along the Westminster Highway near Oak Grove Road and highway 11. The price tag: $2.3 million. City plans are to use existing contractors, inside the parameters of the grant guidelines. Proposed change-orders are to be discussed during this month’s city council meeting.
