Frances Cox

Westminster – Frances Burton Cox, 94, wife of the late Burt Albert Cox, passed away Wednesday, September 1^st, 2021 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lemuel and Susie Dickson Burton. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker, a member of Westminster Church of God, and loved gardening.

 

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Winkler; brothers, Lex Burton, Jack Burton, and Doyle Burton; one granddaughter, Crystal Bryson (Lee); three great-grandchildren, Tucker Bryson, Hilton Bryson, and Ansley Bryson.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by brothers, Carlie Burton, Tommy Joe Burton, Walter Burton, Jr., and Burman Burton, Sr.

 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 14^th, 2021 at Heritage Memorial Gardens.

 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and concerns for the health of family and friends, Frances’s family respectfully asks that all who attend the service please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
