For the sake of good governance

Tim Hall, Walhalla mayor, says he’ll make no public endorsement of any of the candidates entered in the November 4 city council races.  But, at the same time, the mayor wants to see a large voter turnout and for the voters to take into consideration the best qualities those running bring to the table – this in the interests of good governance. Hall says, “I encourage voters to seek out candidates who propose positive, thoughtful, realistic, and constructive solutions to the issues we have and can work with others.  Everyone doesn’t have to agree, in fact, I don’t think it’s healthy if we agree on everything because this helps us explore alternatives and find the best way forward, but we all must willing to discuss and work together to find answers.  Disruption simply for the sake of disruption just hinders our attempts to solve problems and is a disservice to our citizens.”
