Five charges filed against driver near Seneca

All it took was a deputy spotting car that ignored a stop sign for a chase that started in Utica and ended in Newry. A 32-year old Oconee County man was jailed yesterday on five charges. The Sheriff’s Office announced the following charges against Joseph Coy Kilby: failure to stop for a blue light, driving under suspension second offense, reckless driving, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of methamphetamine. Bond for Kilby was denied. His only chance to gain freedom before trial will be whether he can meet the terms of a bond to be set later by a circuit judge.
