FBI to be contacted, out of precaution

At this point, there’s no indication that anyone with devious intent is behind the problems encountered today by the computer system serving Oconee County.  Although regular county offices, the courthouse, the libraries are affected, the sheriff’s office–headquartered at the law enforcement center– is operating as usual.  Sheriff Crenshaw says an officer will document the incident and report what’s happened to the FBI.  Letting the FBI know, according to Crenshaw, would allow for the possibility that the county might be able to avail FBI technical services to solve the computer issues.
