Westminster Bluegrass Jam & Power Cruise

The Westminster Bluegrass Jam and Power Cruise takes place on May 7, 2021.

Both events are free to participate in or attend.  The only costs will be if someone wants to buy food or refreshments.

Scheduled to join in the Power Cruise are Herbie, The General Lee, The Mystery Machine, The Batmobile, and the Squad Car from the Andy Griffith Show! Line-up will begin at the Lucky Strike Restaurant and depart at 5:00 pm. The route will be a loop through Westminster, and Walhalla before returning to the Westminster Historic Depot Parking Lot. If you want to Cruise, bring your ride and join in!  If you don’t want to Cruise, but want to show off your car you can come to the Westminster Depot Parking Lot!

The Westminster Bluegrass Jam will begin at 6:00 pm all up and down Main Street!  This event is a true jam session with lots of areas for pickers to circle up and play together!  Pickers from all over the Upstate, NC, and GA have attended in the past and it is considered to be a homecoming by many!  This event is open to all pickers regardless of what skill level or age!  Most people bring a chair and walk from session to session enjoying the music.  The Bluegrass Jam will end at midnight.

If you don’t want to visit one of our local restaurants or fix a big meal before coming…don’t!  A-Town Southern Barbeque will be serving up some of the best local BBQ around, Kona Ice will be serving up their local favorite snow cones, and Luna Café will be serving up some fun treats!
