The Betty B. Watkins Seed Library

The Betty B. Watkins Seed Library has officially been restocked with seeds for fall planting. These seeds include turnips, lettuce, collards, spinach, and more. Residents of Oconee County can pick up free seeds during operating hours at the permanent collections at the Westminster Library in Westminster or at the Oconee History Museum in Walhalla. The libraries will also be hosting pop-up events which will include a small assortment of seeds.  You can find the pop-up seed collection during operating hours at the Seneca Library on Tuesday, August 16; at the Walhalla Library on Monday, August 22; and at the Salem Library on Monday, September 12. Seeds will also be available at scheduled Bookmobile stops on August 16, 17, 18, 24, & 25.  For more information on the seed library these events, please contact Leah at 864-364-5760.
