Graduate Newcomers of the Foothills announces its Annual Meeting, Open
to the Public! This year’s topic is “Why I Am and Am Not Worried About
AI: A Philosopher’s Perspective.” Artificial intelligence — not from a
technical angle, but through a humanistic lens. How AI is reshaping the
way we live, think, and relate. Known for his clarity, humor, and
accessibility, Dr. J. Aaron Simmons, Professor of Philosophy (with
tenure), Furman University, promises a talk that will both inspire and
