2025 Winter Bluegrass Jubilee

Keeping alive the sound of Southern Appalachian music in Upstate South Carolina.  Young Appalachian musicians will present their annual Winter Bluegrass Jubilee this month in Pickens.  It’s the only fundraiser of the 501C-3, Preserving Our Southern Appalachian Music.  The organization serves more than 350 students in the elementary schools of Oconee and Pickens counties.  The students are introduced to the instruments of traditional bluegrass — guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. This year’s jubilee will be from 11 am to 7 pm on Saturday, January 18 at Pickens High School.  Headliners will be The Darren Nicholson Band and Russell Moore & 111rd Tyme Out: tickets and info at www.yamupstate.com.
