Evelyn Hedden Cantrell

 

Walhalla, SC — Evelyn Hedden Cantrell, 80, wife of late J.D. Cantrell, of 124 Willow Lane, Walhalla, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at her home.

 

A native of Franklin, NC, Mrs. Cantrell was the daughter of the late Oscar and Lydia Alaska Woods Hedden. She retired from J.P. Stevens as a seamstress and was a member of Hope Church. Mrs. Cantrell loved to quilt, cook, and can.

 

Mrs. Cantrell is survived by her sons: Roger Revis of Walhalla, SC, Douglas Revis of Vine Grove, KY, and Bryan Revis of Walhalla; brothers: Wade Hedden (Janet) and Horace Hedden; sisters: Sylvia Linkus (Tim), Linda Rehwalt (Bill), Mamie Aiken, Aline Hopkins, and Ethel Coffeen; grandchildren: Peggy Addis (Matthew), Amy Jordan (William), and Autumn Bowman (Willie); great-grandchildren: Anthony Carter, Nicholas Tribble, Tyson Tribble, Scarlett Lord (Josiah), Karlee Winchester, and Jase Winchester; great-great-grandchildren: Aaliyah Carter, and Olivia Lord; brother-in-law: Frank McAlister; special friend: Mr. Bennett; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cantrell is preceded in death by a son: Kenneth Wayne Revis; daughter: Teresa Charlene Revis; brother: Harry Hedden; sisters: Nona McAlister and Dorothy Duncan.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home.
