ESPY Awards

The 2026 ESPY Awards took over Lincoln Center in New York City, with the New York Knicks claiming victory after their historic NBA Finals win. Hosted by Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernández, the evening celebrated the year’s top athletic moments and recognized athletes for both their physical prowess and remarkable perseverance.  It was a dream summer for New York basketball, and the ESPYs reflected that triumph. Jalen Brunson dominated the ceremony, securing two of the night’s most prestigious awards: Best NBA Player and Best Championship Performance. Adding to the Bronx-and-Blue celebration, OG Anunoby’s gravity-defying tip-in was voted Best Play, while the Knicks themselves were named Best Team.
