Economic gains can be large or small

There are only so many BMW’s or Boeings to go around. And that means modern day economic development recruiters, such as the public-private partnership Oconee Economic Alliance, keeps an open mind in its approaches to grow the economy. Cases in point are the craft brewery operations that are popping up in the county in places such as Seneca and Tamassee. Janet Hartman referred to those new businesses in the director’s annual report. And we’ve learned that the Oconee Business Center in Walhalla, the incubator for small business, is attracting a couple of new entrepreneurs, including a Montana woman who has re-located and is opening a business that relies on the internet.
