Early morning drug arrests in Walhalla

Two women inside a small truck that the Walhalla police stopped this morning are facing drug charges today, according to Chief Tim Rice.  At 5:30 am, two city police cars and one from the county were spotted at an E. Main Street traffic stop near the S. Luke Methodist Church.  The police report they found two bags of methamphetamine in the truck.  The following two individuals were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine first offense:  Melissa Ann Driver, 48, of Slater Drive, Seneca and Rhonda Faye LeCroy, 32, of Gambrell Road, Townville.  The police say they were alerted to the truck by no tag lights and a decal that had expired in October.
