DONNIE BLACKMON
Seneca – Donnie Lee Blackmon, 78, husband of Peggy Ann Elliott Blackmon, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Donnie was an incredible husband, father, and friend to many.
Donnie was born to Ira and Evelyn Blackmon on January 16, 1945, in Charleston, South Carolina, and raised in Camden, South Carolina where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Peggy. They were married in 1965 and spent 58 wonderful years together.
Donnie worked for BASF until retiring and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Seneca, SC. Donnie enjoyed fishing, taking his jeep cruising and to Jeep Fest, and spending time with friends and family.
Donnie is survived by his wife; son, Christopher Blackmon (Jessica Ramey) of Seneca, SC; daughter, Jennifer Blackmon (Wes Wallace) of Charleston, SC; brother, Allen Blackmon (Bonnie) of Camden, SC; sister, Janice Godwin (Keith) of Camden, SC; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless other friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 10th, 2023 at Trinity Baptist Church with a private inurnment where he will be laid to rest in the Trinity Baptist columbarium at a later date.
