Does city of Clemson water contain lead?

To comply with EPA, city of Clemson is introducing a Lead Service Line Management Program to reduce the risk of lead in drinking water.  A federal mandate now requires all water systems to verify the material of every water service in their systems.  Once the investigation is complete, it is the hope of the Pickens County municipality that the city can give peace of mind to residents regarding the quality of their water.  In a survey, Clemson is asking residents to self-report the material of privately-owned service lines.  A couple of important questions are, “I have children in my home.  How can I protect them from lead exposure?” And “Will my child’s school or childcare facility be tested for lead?”
