DNA profile eliminates two missing women

The DNA profile from the state police lab has ruled out the possibility that the human remains found last month in Seneca could be those of one or the other missing women from Oconee County. Coroner Karl Addis says based on the “SLED” lab analysis the remains are not those of Faith Roach or Laura Anders. The Seneca police had collected specimens from both families of the missing women, and DNA profiles from the specimens were established. Addis says his office has been in touch with the “SLED” forensic art department and discussed the probability of creating a three-dimensional (3D) sculpture to assist with identifying the female remains. “We will continue to coordinate this in the coming week,” Addis said. Meanwhile, anthropology studies continue on the remains.
