Division of duties at City Hall

The Walhalla mayor confirmed personnel changes this afternoon, and they involve the city’s second year administrator, Brent Taylor. Mayor Edwards says the many job responsibilities for Taylor are overloading his work schedule, and the mayor and the council are offering relief. Ashley Jones of the Municipal Court has assumed the position of clerk-treasurer, a vacated position. “That will free up a lot of Brent’s time to work on other things,” Edwards said. Those other things include the city’s plans for the downtown and the effort to operate and manage the Stumphouse Tunnel Park. At the same time, the city has retained retired administrator Nancy Goehle as a part-time worker to help Jones, her daughter. “Just temporarily, to help Ashley get her feet under her. That’s all,” he said.
